Newdawn & Sun was established in 1977 and started producing Roof Glazing Bars in 1984 having invented the Single Piece ‘Snaptyte’ Glazing Cap for timber supported roofing systems the company went on to developed a fully engineered self supporting PVCu version before being acquired by Bowater Building Products in 2005.

All original designs are produced in-house and distributed nationwide to a loyal and expanding trade customer base which includes fabricators producing kit roofs, conservatory retailers and suppliers and trade counters.

Newdawn are leading members of the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) The Conservatory Association (CA) British Plastics Federation (BPF) Roofing systems are tested to comply with BBA and ISO certification and BS standards.
